How are journalists getting to grips with data journalism?

I wanted to understand just how much data driven journalism is used by journalists already in the field. When reporting a story, usually you get an original source or a press release and from that, you have to take an angle with it and put a spin on it to make it news worthy.

But with the rise of data driven journalism, I wanted to see just how much impact it had on reporters trying to tell their stories and if they felt data driven journalism was a good thing, or a mind numbing number crunching exercise.

I interviewed Assed Baig, a reporter at the BBC WM.
